100 km mark is getting there

Hello

This morning I beat my distance record and set it to 11,35 km.
Slowly but surely I'm getting there thanks to wonderful tips I get from running ladies like Wendy Bossijns who told me the other day to run slower.
I had the impression that I was allready running slow but she ensured me that running slower wpuld guarantee my body to cope with extra distance. And it does.
I still have some bad days but this gets me going :

I ran a Marathon

Yes I passed the first of my goals... run the marathon distance.
Be it ... not in one run but it is the cumulative total of all my runs until now.

I have built in a rest day yesterday to avoid any injuries or overcharge but tonight once more I will go out for a run.

Day 7

Day 7

Yesterday I chose to build in a rest day and did not go for a run.

Today I beat the distance and ran (and walked) for 8,62 km's. Accompanied by my son on the bike.
I feel that it's getting better to run for quite a while but I must curb my enhtousiasm and beware not to overdo myself.

With today's run I'm at 973,03 of the total aim of 1000 km

So in 1 week at 2% of my target
Let's head for 50 km's by the end of the week.

Day 3 7,5 km done 992,5 to go

Day 3

2,5 km mark.
On day 3 I reached the 2,5 mark.
It is fun to see that a lot of people are joining me in the virtual runs on tracking.win4youth.com
I might have inspired some colleagues to go for 0,5 K and even another colleague for 1K mark.
For the reader this might seem a bit far off but imagine having to run on average every day untill the end of the year 3 km. So if you skip two days you need to run almost 10 km the third day.

I am hoping on achieving the 3 km mark on my daily runs by next week.
Tonight I will reach the 10 km mark :-)
A small step on my way for 1000 km for win4youth.
